Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Research Fellow within UCD School of Computer Science – CeADAR.

CeADAR is based in UCD and is a collaboration between UCD and TU Dublin. CeADAR’s Applied Research Group conducts research in AI, data analytics and related areas and develops demonstrator and proof-of-concept applications in cooperation with our industry partners. The research at CeADAR covers broad aspects of data analytics and AI including deep learning and machine learning, explainable AI, cybersecurity, real-time analytics, data visualisation, data management, blockchain applications and data-driven interfaces. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work in collaboration with industry partners and other researchers at the cutting edge of the ‘recently possible’.

The purpose of the role is to deliver a specific research project. The role allows the Research Fellow the professional development opportunity to demonstrate the capacity for independent and self-directed research and scholarship and the management of a research team. The role allows the Fellow to assemble a portfolio of independent achievement and render themselves competitive for tenured academic positions or senior scientific roles in industry.

Salary range: €55,811 – €72,857 per annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
