WRGP participant Hristo Stoev

Dubliner Hristo Stoev completed an MSc in Data Science at TU Dublin before joining CeADAR’s Work Ready Graduate Programme with the goal of gaining valuable professional experience as he begins his career in Data Science.

“I have found the programme to be a great introduction to applying Data Science concepts in practice, and I would recommend it to any new professional looking to upskill while working in a dynamic industry setting,” he says.

As part of the programme, Hristo has been placed with the IT and consultancy company OpenSky Data Systems (OSDS). “Some of the highlights of my work include developing a proof-of-concept for a handwriting recognition solution using PyTorch, engaging in pre-sales meetings to assess clients’ Machine Learning needs, and configuring cloud-based DevOps pipelines,” he says.

“The programme has been very helpful in cultivating my long-term interests and goals,” Hristo adds. “It has a rich schedule of training and certification sessions that have helped me gain valuable skills for the future, such as project management and problem-solving.”
