Sandesh Gangadhar from Bengaluru in India joined CeADAR’s Work Ready Group Programme after achieving an Msc in Computing (Data Science) from TU Dublin and having worked in travel and retail analytics for three years prior.
“My experience with the programme has been very positive. The work has been challenging and provides me with a positive stimulus to grow my skills and knowledge,” he says.
Sandesh found the support and knowledge of all the staff, both at CeADAR and with his client company, to be particularly beneficial as well as the opportunities to gain certification in skills such as project management.
His placement is with a media company where he is using and applying Machine Learning to optimise the production workflow. “The research nature of the work is something that I have always enjoyed,” he says.
Sandesh’s particular interests are in the field of research in text processing using Machine Learning and AI techniques, and his long-term goal is to work in an organisation where he can lead quality Machine Learning and AI research.
